Cleanthis Chandriotis graduated from the English School Nicosia and having fulfilled his military service, he studied at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) in the United Kingdom where he graduated with his degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng Honours). He then followed the two-year MBA program of the Manchester Business School (Director's List). He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Durham in the United Kingdom. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (where it holds the Diploma in Marketing) and the Institute of Directors of the United Kingdom. He served for nine years general manager of Laiki Financial Services Ltd and was a non-executive member of the Board of Directors of Investment Bank of Greece. He has also worked at HSBC Investment Bank plc in London in Project Finance and Advisory Division. He is the General Manager of The Cyprus Investment and Securities Corporation Ltd (CISCO).
